    Elb Tunnel Lifts

The Elb Tunnel is one of the most surprising things I found in Hamburg. An tunnel leading from one side of the Elb to the other side. On each side there is a couple of lifts to transport cars up and down. The really surprising part, is that this was built almost a hundred years ago.

Mont Saint Michel just off the coast in Brittany in France, is one of the most amazing places I have been. I was so glad, that I had the chance to stay after dark. Not only because it looked fantastic, but also because, people left at dinner time.

Mont Saint Michel is one of the most popular tourist destinations in France, and during the day, you can feel that.

    Pantheon Revisited

The first time I visited Pantheon in Rome, I shot a photograph from a similar angle. It was a beautiful sunset. I could not resist shooting the same angle again. This time, I had brought a tripod, and a better camera. The difference in the image quality, is noticeable, even though the old one, still is one of my favorites.

    Eliptic

In a light drizzle, I walked around London, shooting the contrast between new and old. I really like what they are doing to London these years. I used to live in London back in the early 90s, and this area is completely rebuilt, but I think they have done a great job of it. Photo by: Jacob Surland, http://www.caughtinpixels.com. Millenium Bridge and Sct Pauls

The first time I tried to get to the Millenium Bridge, and get a shot of Sct. Pauls Cathedral, I underestimated how long time it would take to walk there, from London Tower Bridge. I had to give up, because it was getting too late. Luckily enough I got to back to London a few months later, and this time I had learned my lesson, and used the Underground (or Tube as the locals would say) to get much closer, much faster.

When you come around the corner, in the center of a city, and you see something like this, you can help but thinking 'WTF?' I investigated when I got home, at it turned out to be a part of the restaurant Koks, from the Faroe Islands. They had made a popup restaurant in Copenhagen for two months. A part of the dinner was one serving in this little cottage.
