Orange and Blue
When I drive my son to school, I always carry a camera with me. Most days, I see nothing worth stopping for, but sometimes I am rewarded, like this particular morning. These crazy clouds are almost straight out of the camera. This sunrise, is one of the craziest I have ever seen, and the weirdest part, is that I never saw the Sun itself. I saw it shine on the city behind me, but before it got clear of the horizon, it disappeared behind clouds. I have been to Rothenburg ob der Tauber quite a few times. There is something about this medieval town in the lower part of Germany, that attracts, not only me, but people. A city wall surrounds the town, and some parts, like this part, has a second wall. Look closely, and you can see the tower of the inner city wall. We went down to the riverside during the day, to shoot the Castel Sant'Angelo from below.
We had the feeling, that it was probably not the safest place in Rome after dark. And yet, we had seen many night shots from down there.
We decided to take the Blue Hour up around the Vatican, and then work our way down here to Castel Sant'Angelo, and take the late blue hour or the first of the night if we felt safe.
By the time we got down to the stairs leading to the riverside, a few people hung around in the area. I started the descent of the stairs, looking carefully around.
I didn't get more than 10 steps down, and the stairs were splashed in what looked exactly like fresh blood, and I turned around. Even if I wanted a photo from down there, I didn't want it that bad.

It was raining fairly heavy, and I didn't do a lot of shooting, while standing directly in the rain. Even though my equipment is weather proof, there is no reason to drown it.

I shot this photo of the Eiffel Tower from the Jardin des Trocadéro. When I got there, the fountains were empty, though. A few people ran around in some of the empty basins. I also ventured into one of the upper, to get a different angle. When I had shot what I wanted, I continued towards the Eiffel Tower itself, and while walking, the fountains suddenly filled with water. So glad, it was not, while I was standing with my camera equipment in one ogf them! I hope no one got wet feet.
