Roskilde Cathedral by Night
Roskilde Cathedral is almost a thousand years old. The Church is on the list of UNESCO's world inheritage and is absolutely worth a visit, if you ever come by Roskilde or Denmark. The Church is fairly big (not in the Sct. Peters Cathedral in the Vatican, but it's no small cathedral. Infact I needed a 14mm full frame lens to be able to capture all of it, from the square in front of the church. Alley canal in Bruges
I don't know if there is a word for an alley, when it's a canal. But if there is one, this would be one I think. Bruges is a beautiful medieval city in Belgium. It's worth a visit if you get the chance.

Pantheon Revisited
The first time I visited Pantheon in Rome, I shot a photograph from a similar angle. It was a beautiful sunset. I could not resist shooting the same angle again. This time, I had brought a tripod, and a better camera. The difference in the image quality, is noticeable, even though the old one, still is one of my favorites.

Three Gondolas seen from Rialto Bridge
Crossing the Rialto Bridge is a must do experience when visiting Venice. And if you have the option to plan it, try to do it at sunset. The houses along Canal Grande look just awesome with the lights and colors. Stay and watch the traffic for a while. London Phonebooth at the Entrance of Carnaby
I love walking the almost empty streets early in the morning. You see people hustling along to work, a windows cleaner is polishing the huge windows of a shop. The newspaper man on the corner is unpacking today's paper, getting ready for the rush hour while sipping on a cup of coffee. I just love the big cities at that time. Scotland - Loch Lomond with a streak of light
Through The Arcanum, I am acquiring new skills to composite photos. I shot this or rather these three, photos only a month after I got my first full frame DSLR, and started on my journey as a photographer. I never got around to publish this one, because the sky was too boring. But when I learned how to composite photos, I took two other cloudscapes from the same day, only an hour or two later, and replaced the flat grey mist with these two. One on the left and one on the right-hand side. Then I added some divine light. Photo by: Jacob Surland, http://www.caughtinpixels.com

Empty street in Mont Saint Michel
Saint Mont Michel in France is one of the biggest tourist attractions in France with more than 1.2 million visitors a year. Disneyland Paris has got 14,5 million. And Disneyland is probably 5-10 times larger than Mont Saint Michel. That kind of put's it into perspective how many people come to visit Mont Saint Michel. Shoe Boat
I shot this photo in Amsterdam, and I almost didn't shoot it. I had wrapped up, and packed away everything, and was on my way back to the hotel. I had left the hotel at 3.30 am, and had shot more than 1000 photos around the center of Amsterdam, and I had walked more 8 miles (13 km) when I got back to the hotel.
I crossed this canal and noticed the perfect reflection, and the bit of haze in the background, with the sun coming through. Half way across, I stopped, went back and unpacked and shot the photo. I am so happy I did.
I have come to learn, if I see something that I pass, I go back. I am usually right.

A few things have fascinated me ever since I was a boy. The Colosseum is one of them. I had seen it once before, but never photographed it seriously, and I was looking very much forward to photograph it this time. But I seem to suffer from a disease. The scaffolding disease.
